Wombat and Badger Publishing:
Online Book Sales

Our mission is to help independent authors bring their work to readers who enjoy fresh and new reading experiences.

Who are we?

I'm someone who always wanted to tell stories and in 2008, I found myself with the opportunity to start my first project. When I started, I had no true idea of the process of writing, much less developing a project to the point of a book ending up in hands of a reader. If ignorance was bliss, I was supremely blissful! As my story developed, a long time family friend took an interest in my project and put up the money to self publish that title and Wombat and Badger Publishing was born.

Business Model and Expectations:

I'm certain an "MBA type" in the business attire of the contemporary board room, would describe our business model, as our first work of fiction, and they could be right. If you look at the current state of the publishing and book sales industry, it would be difficult to see what success is, because the industry is in transition. The book sales and publishing industry is transitioning from a system where a few made a lot of money to something else, and I don't think anyone knows what will become the new norm. The advent of electronic readers, online book sales, blogs and social media websites have impacted the traditional book sales publishing industry. While the suits sort that out, I'm going to pursue two basic goals.

1) I'm going to work to get my stories out there.
2) I'm going to work to bring focus to independent authors with similar goals.

If anyone reading this website is looking to submit a manuscript, sign a contract, then sit back and wait for a huge advance, that's definetly a fantasy. As I push forward, getting my books out there, I'm learning and willing to share, in a cooperative manner with others of similar ambition.

Any agreement between us, doing business as Wombat and Badger Publishing and yourself, will be a custom agreement, desigined to give clear expectations, commitments and mutually agreed benfits. If this type of thinking sounds interesting, contact me:

Two very different men, two different ideologies and the clash of monumental events that threaten both of them.

David Harris, a Lieutenant in the Oregon Army National Guard and wealthy part time law student, he doesn't need to work. He's ambitious and has no doubts he'll succeed. His desire to excel may include the Governor's mansion someday.

Gregory Freddington, a Project Manager with the State of Oregon, is also a part time law student. His life was as different as his philosophy. He has worked hard for all he has. He started young as an electrician, studied to become a project manager for the State of Oregon. Now he wants to become a lawyer to help those in need.

"They donít realize what they have started. Even the most loyal dog will bite, if you kick it often enough and we are way past often enough!" - Gregory Freddington
